Its cold and we made some awesome cinnamon sugar cookies that has all the flavors of fall. Dress warm and try out these cookies one fall evening.
Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookies
2 1/2 cups organic flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) organic softened butter
1/2 cup organic white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Separate ingredients for rolling dough in
3 Tablespoons organic white sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder, set aside
- In a separate bowl, cream (beat) butter, sugar. Then add brown sugar and mix until fluffy.
- Once beaten, add egg and vanilla, continue to mix.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Beat together well.
- In a small bowl, with a spoon, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
- With a cookie dough scoop, scoop out small dough balls and one at a time place them in the cinnamon sugar, and roll them around until covered.
- Place dough cinnamon balls 2-3 inches apart on a lined baking sheet, and slightly flatten with your fingers.
- Bake for 13- 15 min at 350
- Let cool and eat!
